Skagstad School Skriv ut E-post

Skagstad school dates from 1881. Pastor Wisløff had several schools built during his time in the parish of Steigen (1871 – 1893). The only one remaining today is at Skagstad in the north of Engeløya. Skagstad school is a fine example of school architecture in North Norway from the latter half of the nineteenth century and gives a good impression of the typical school right up until the 1950s.
