In 1953 two road workers found an Iron Age stone grave near the farm, ”Mårnes”. The grave has been restored and is just beside the road between Kjøpstad and Horsdal on Sandhornøya.
You can park just behind the sign for Mårnes if you drive from Kjøpstad. The distance from RV17 is about 20km.
