admire
a loom from
the
1800's in addition
to the
sewing
machines used by prisoners of
war in Sørfold
during
the war.

Kjelvik
Karen
Kjelvik
was
one of the four siblings
who
lived on the smallholding
Kjelvik.
As a
seamstress, she traveled around the
farms
and
made
clothes for people. Here
you can
see
some of the clothes that Karen
made.

known as the photographer
who
took images of everyday
life and people at work.
Selected
images
of people engaged in
handicrafts
will
also
be
exhibited.

years anniversary
In
cooperation
with
Sørfold
parish
office will be a small
exhibition
of objects and images
that
deal Rørstad church.
How do I get there?
Straumen is on the E6, 15km north of Fauske and 45km south of Kobbelv inn. Leave the E6 at one of the junctions to Straumen. The museum is in the same building as Bygdekroa (inn), with the entrance opposite Coop Prix.
